Hosting- The Differences

The "Hosting" packages are for standard informational sites. These sites include sites such as Information sites about your business or subject matter, catalogs, blogs, forums, video sites, or any site that does not involve online transactions. If your site deals with online transactions or needs a dedicated IP address you will need a Premium Hosting plan.

"Premium Hosting" involves the ability to securely encrypt information when needed. These types of sites are a little more expensive because the site has to have its own dedicated IP to have seperate traffic coming to the server. If your site requires its own IP address to do certain functions or if you going to be using a shopping cart on your website, then you will need this type of hosting plan. If you are doing any kind of online transactions on your website you will also require a SSL certificate to encrypt the traffic to allow your cusotmers to safely by from your website.

SSLs

One is for normal encryption traffic. Able to handle about 50 transactions simultaneously without any difference in encryption speed. The premium SSL certificate is for high traffic encryption, able to handle 100 or more encrypted transactions at the same time. Encryptions have to be made by a certified company that encrypts the connection by using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificates. This is where the trusted lock symbol comes in on your browser. The trusted lock shows up on your browser when it has verified that the encryption is made by a trusted company that is not a potential hacker. Our SSL certificates are all made from Geotrust, one of the most trusted SSL certificate companies around. SSL certificates are only available on a annual basis.

This normally includes banner changes, graphical touch ups throughout the site, and some functional or security issues that are occurring on the site.Up to 2 hours per month. Additional hours for changes may include an additional fee.
